DIMEBAG 'Six String Masterpieces' Art Tribute Coming To RIDE FOR DIME Event

According to a posting on RideForDime.com, Ride For Dime 2006 — a one-day event (to be held Sunday, August 20) which consists of a 52-mile motorcycle run in the morning followed by a live concert in Arlington, Texas — will be hosting the "Six String Masterpieces""Dimebag" Darrell Abbott art tribute. "The exhibit will be touring with Ozzfest this year and then make its way to Dallas," reads a posting on the site. "Since Ozzfest won't be coming to Dallas this year, this may be your last opportunity to see these magnificent pieces of art. The exhibit was featured on MTV2's 'Headbanger's Ball' recently hosted by Vinnie Paul. It will also be featured in Guitar Player magazine at the end of July. This exhibit is funded by donations so be generous. Tickets are now on sale."

The "Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute" includes the following:

* A collection of 50 guitars, hand-painted by world-famous rock stars and internationally known modern artists, including members of METALLICA (Photo#1, Photo#2),KORN, LINKIN PARK, SLIPKNOT, MUDVAYNE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED.

* A charitable art auction to benefit a foundation dedicated to music, education and improving the lives of today's youth.

* A travelling entertainment attraction hitting major U.S. markets in 2006.

* A highly-publicized tour that will feature an art opening party and VIP reception in each city attended by participating artists, press, celebrities and entertainment industry personel.

The guitars will be auctioned off with proceeds going to a foundation dedicated to furthering music education.
